I want to tell you how much I’m enjoying the Last Kingdom series. I just sorry it took me so long to discover you and these great novels. Also, what so strange, when I was on 3rd book, I found that there was a movie! So for the next few days I watched the movie . I enjoyed it too, but it made be change the face of Uthred that Ialready had in my mind.(smile)
I’m 74 and developed a liking for historical novels about 10 yrs ago. I have MANY! Can’t seem to make up my mind to sell, or give them away.
When I found it was a series, I bought all of them so I could read straight through. I get more enjoyment reading from book 1 through the series than reading books out of order Sometimes you mention people or events that happened earlier, it’s more enjoyable to know what those events were than just a brief mention in the present book. That’s why I read from book one. I spend a lot of time alone and your books have filled some of that time . Thank You PS. I have often wished I had the gift of writing. But I don’t. It must mean something to be able to put stories on paper and know you have thousands of readers who enjoy them I feel someone who can do something really well has a “gift”. Like singers, artist, or people who can play instruments without a lot of training. THANKS
