Happy soon year and I hope it will be a better one in terms of family health, avoiding dentists (a good objective for everyone) and finishing up “Storm.” For sure, “Storm” should fit into the chronology you have already laid-out with such care over the past 45 years.
I did notice in recent trips to the library (and I have also bought many of your works too, of course) that there has been no new Cornwell item in 2024. But then I realized, you have produced so many works in recent decades–even Grisham, Alan Furst and others have probably often said, “He got out another of those Saxon books already!?” So, no hurry. Your patient readers will be here.
I recently started working on an author page (me, mostly published in anthologies so far; short items). I had no idea that putting that thing together is almost like assembling a book! With all the pop-ups, urls leading to sites where you can purchase items, and so on. It is quite a project. As you know, marketing and self-promotion have their own logic, and must be handled thoughtfully. You want the thing to be effective, and welcoming. I’ll keep at it.
In the meantime, may the soon year unfold peacefully!
