I was rereading Sharpe’s Escape and noticed a Lieutenant in the 52nd Oxfordshire who discussed cricket with a Captured French Officer. I have just finished reading Gallows Theif for the first time and this immediately made me think of Rider Sandman. Is this cricket loving Lieutenant Rider Sandman?
