I’m rereading the Sharpe books yet again, and I wanted to say thank you. I find new things to laugh and cry about on every read through, I just got to the part in Paris when Sharpe is attempting to order Harper to, “not, repeat not, bring back a monkey” and I laughed so hard I had to set the book down. You make these books so informative and so fun! I’m eternally grateful to you for creating such vibrant characters for me to spend time with.
I will admit… The first few times I’ve read the Sharpe series I was half in love with your dashing hero, but as I get older I’m starting to truly love Patrick Harper more. His ability to be content where he is, his loyalty, the jokes he makes, he’s an admirable man. You’ve done an excellent job over and over.
