I have become partially more interested in British History since My heritage have done a marvelous job in letting me know of Ancestry back to Richard the Fearless, several Vikings De Peckham, Denne the Bigot and Plantagenets also a grandfather Sergeant shoemaker who served in the Peninsular Wars. I would be interested to know who your ancestors were. Incidentally currently listening to Steeleye Spans Over the hills and far away, wasn’t Maggy Prior’s relative involved in using this tune in Sharpe
