I know you must get a multitude of messages like this, but I just stumbled across your website and I really wanted to add my 2 pence to the pile.
Almost 30 years ago, wow, where did the time go, I was in my school library and spotted a cool looking book on the shelves. It was a novel called The Winter King, I always loved the Arthurian mythos so I thought I’d give it a shot. Sufficient to say I inhaled all three books in the series and it’s one of my comfort reads I come back to every few years.
I’ve always loved to read, but that chance moment opened up a whole new genre to me, introducing me to historical fiction combining two of my great loves. You turned history into a drama that far surpassed anything produced on TV, creating a whole new world around me, well 3 if I’m being entirely truthful. I’ve since ready historical fiction from a wide range of eras. All because of that book that caught my eye.
I don’t even know why I really wanted to write a message except to say thank you.
Thank you for 30 years of wonderful stories and for introducing me to my favourite stories and genre of fiction. Thank you for sharing your imagination and story telling with us and I look forward to discovering new worlds and stories as you write them.
