My name is Sascha Freund, I am from Germany and I wanted to write to you to express my deep admiration and heartfelt gratitude for your remarkable work on The Last Kingdom series. Your books have given me more joy, inspiration, and excitement than I can easily put into words.
Your series has accompanied me for many years. It inspired me to visit Bamburgh Castle, learn more about the norse mythology and interested me in the anglo-saxon history.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to attend one of your events, but I really want to express my Thanks to you.
Despite the Uhtred saga being a less known work of yours like Sharpe, it will always have a special place in my heart. I am still trying to get my hands on the hardcover publications for a reserved place in my book shelf! I wish you all the very best.
