Dear Bernard,
I just finished reading 1356 and I thought it was simply amazing! I am a volunteer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and one of my favorite galleries is the “Arms and Armour”. After reading your book I can actually see the knights and their horses come alive!! Now every time I visit the museum I will enjoy it so much more because of your talent in describing with such wonderful detail a totally different world.
