I first read The Winter King in 1996, and very quickly picked up the other two books in the trilogy as soon as they were available here in the states.
I just wanted to say “Thank you” for giving me my three favorite books of all time. I’ve reread the trilogy at least 6 times now. Every person I come across who tells me they never really enjoyed any fiction relating to King Arthur, I plead with them to give your books a read. So far every person has fallen in love with them just as much.
As much as I dislike seeing bad tv/movie adaptations, I do hope that something happens to propel these characters into the realm of film. The love story of Derfel and Ceinwyn alone would make for a great movie.
