In the summer of 1814 a number of the British veterans of the Peninsular War were sent to Montreal to prepare for an invasion of the U.S. The invasion took place in September 1814. The battle stopping the British was fought at Plattsburgh , New York on September 11, 1814, starting at 9:30 am. It was the last time the U.S. was invaded. Would this be something that Sharpe could have taken part in?
