Dear Bernard,
Like so many of us, I work in an incredibly stressful environment and in the evenings I continue to work from home. I find that tv does not allow me to stop thinking over and over about work but that my one place of real escapism is your books. Whether I’ve been fighting Vikings, the Tippoo, or the French or even trying to figure out how to get ridiculously large stones to float, I am away living different lives. Thanks so much old fella for all of this.
