Characters from hundreds or even a thousand years ago come charging into my reading chair with a reality that I hardly find in other authors. You pull us into the lives of your heroes and villains with rich emotional gravity – the beautiful attraction between a man and a woman (but not always love), and the vengeful rage between heroes and evildoers. The revenge is always sensational.
