I simply want to thank you for writing the Sharpe series. I’ve really enjoyed following Sharpe’s exploits from India through Spain, Portugal and France.
My wife and I haven’t yet travelled to Europe however, your descriptions of places in the novels has whet our appetite to visit some sites. Many of your books have been read on my iPad so being able to easily Google places has enhanced the experience of reading your stories.
I have really enjoyed the historical notes that you’ve included in novels too.
Interestingly I started the Sharpe series after I reading Patrick O’Brian’s Aubrey and Maturin adventures of course set in the Napoleonic era.
I look forward to reading other books that you have written.
