Dear Mr Cornwell,
I had a mis-spent youth. When I was 20 my father bought me sharpes tiger for my birthday.
It was the first book I had ever read. The following 22 were all Sharpe books in order and back to back .
I never thought a book or character would ever come close… then there was Uthred.
I have no questions for you Mr cornwell only simple thanks for all your effort and thanks to Dodd for introducing me to c.s Forester.
You made a large difference to me and if I seem a bit emotive. I just finished Pagan lord,its 1:30am and I can sleep.
Ps you had me on the last page. I am glad Gisela’s image faded at least for another day.
