Hi Mr. Cornwell.
In a November 13th posting, Kevin Jester asked about novels and histories of the Boer War. He might try “Fire Across the Veldt” by John Wilcox. It is part of the Simon Fonthill series, a Victorian soldier whose adventures take him from the Zulu Wars to past the turn of the century. For non-fiction, “The Boer War” by Thomas Pakenham is the definitive work, and if you read it, you know all you need to know about that conflict.
