Bernard,
I just finished the last of your Sharpe series. It’s 0835 in Chattanooga, TN. I have no intention of sending you any manuscripts to read, or books to sign. Although I’m incredibly content and (I suppose, ironically, given my love for the character) unhappy that Sharpe has finally settled down to a prosperous and relatively non-conflicted life,I felt the need to contact you. My infatuation for history, although paled by you’re understanding of the era, has become an admiration of mine. If you get the time, or for hell’s sake, the boredom, I would enjoy conversing about the joys, respect, honor, and courage that have past both of our times. Until then.
