I started reading your Richard Sharpe novels after watching the television series and have now read every Sharpe book several times. From the Sharpe series I moved on to the Warlord series, Starbuck, the Fort, Agincourt, Grail quest and your Saxon books. I don’t know if I have a favourite series as they are all equally great but I would have to say that the Arthur series was one that I had to share with friends and family. I love the fact I can lose myself in the book and see it as if I was there in the pages on a battlefield in Spain, India, Portugal, America, France, Britain and all the rest. Your books inspired me to research a lot more about History, especially the history, myths and legends of Britain. Many a time I’ve found myself looking at maps trying to find the battle locations and trace the journeys of your characters. I just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed reading every single book over the years and thank you for writing them. I wait with great anticipation for
the next book in the Saxon series. I imagine you’ve heard from many people that they would like to hear what happens to Starbuck and I’m another one of those people. Again, thank you for countless hours and days of reading and opening my mind.
Kind regards,
Nick Pople
