I have been researching my family tree and found a direct link to a colourful character, Uhtred the Bold. I seem to remember, in the historical notes for your first Uchtred novel, that you discovered a direct link to the same man. I would like to know more about him – wikipaedia is pretty sound on the bare bones – I wondered if you may be able to recommend a few history books where I may find out more.
