Dear Mr Cornwell, I have read a lot of your books, and have just finished reading Vagabond. I go to get Heretic tomorrow! Wow! is all I can say. The thing I like most about every one of your stories is that I am ‘right there’ in the thick of battle. I could feel Thomas’ pain as his knuckles got crushed by the Dominican; could feel Uhtred’s anger as he saw his young friend nearly get raped in Sword Song…I wanted to kill the king’s cousin myself. I have always said that if an author can evoke such emotions in his writings then he has done his job. Sir, you are a master!! Thanks you for sharing your great talent with the rest of the world. Andrew
