Dear Mr. Cornwell, My name is Josh, and I am a big fan of your Saxon Stories. I am from the United States and I graduated in 09 with a BFA in Performance Theatre and a Minor in History. History has always fascinated me and your Saxon Series gave me the inspiration for my final paper in my British History Class from Prehistory to 1603AD. The paper was about the Danelaw and centered around life for the common man under the Danelaw vs. life under Wessex.. Anyways I first found your book The Pale Horseman when I was working at an outdoor theater in Ohio named Tecumseh! The play was about the Indian Chief Tecumseh and his fight to unite his people and defend their land and their way of life. Even though The Pale Horseman takes place several hundred years before Tecumseh, the way you used Uhtred described the warriors mentality really helped me as an actor create my character. Since then I have caught up on all five books and I cant wait for the sixth. I really like Uhtred and especially his companions. As an Irish American I really like Finan the Agile and I know you dont want any ideas so I will refrain from telling you what I would like Finan and Uhtred to do next, however I will send you my thoughts telepathically& there done. Thank you for your stories and I hope to be seeing the next chapter in Uhtreds life soon. ~Josh
