Dear Mr. Cornwell: I just finished reading The Burning Land. Thank you for another wonderful story in the Saxon epic. Based upon the ending, I hope I may construe that Uhtred will be returning to win back Bebbanburg. I am in awe of your talent, and your prolific output boggles the mind. I have finally gotten two books of my own published. They are both historical romance, with more history than my editor would like, but that is where my true interest and passion lies. The Dragon and the Rose takes place at Castle Bamburgh. (I was in love with the crumbling behemoth even before I read the Saxon books). Thank you again for all the wonderful stories you have created. You are truly an inspiration. Sincerely, Gini Rifkin (www.ginirifkin.com).
