Hello Mr. Cornwell, My wife and I are Americans who are truly obsessed with your novels, especially the medieval period series or boating thrillers. Our favorites are the Grail Quest series and Scoundrel. We moved to Florida last year, but are originally from New England. I was born at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Mass, and lived around the Cape much of my childhood. It’s a beautiful place. I first discovered your work while I was wandering through Cornwall, alone, nearly broke. We love to travel, but this was before I married Tracy. We have spent months at a time nearly penniless there, drifting across the UK from campsite to campsite. Someday, somehow, we hope dream of moving to the UK. During that first lonely trek, I was surprised to find that I continually met helpful people everywhere I went, shelter here, food there, a free ride…it was wonderfully mystical traveling through tiny villages and across hills and moors, sometimes camping in a fallow field with just a sleeping bag under the stars. I spent much of my time examining antiquities with my Explorer maps. I was in a bookshop in Penzance, having just come back from Saint Michael’s Mount, when I saw your book: The Archer’s Tale. I didn’t sleep that night, flipping through pages by a tiny fireplace instead. I was an addict after the first chapter. In essence, I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your work, my wife recently finished and I am now currently engrossed in Sword Song. Amazing, as usual. We always pass the books on to others who then become addicted…but we rarely receive them back, so we end up eBaying them to own a copy. Thanks for entertaining and enlightening us all! I am an author as well, by no means successful, having self-published a novel (Clean) that garnered a few nice reviews and sold perhaps 200 copies internationally. A co-writer and I have two more scheduled for release, both self-published. If you’d ever like to read Clean, I’d be PROUD to send you a copy. It is an early effort, and I am learning the trade, but I know you have been there as well! Regardless, take care, and know that you have loyal readers everywhere. Yours truly, Ken Sweet & Tracy Davis
