Dear Mr. Cornwell, I am an enthusiastic fan of all your books. I have adopted a piece of writing in The Pale Horseman. I am hoping that you will not mind me quoting this piece as it perfectly expresses much of how I see the world of human relations myself. I cannot tell if this piece expresses how you see 10th century saxons seeing the world or some of your world view has crept in but none the less it suits me well. Anyway I usually give you credit or at least refer to it as a quote. I can’t say that the people I quote it to are as excited about the concepts as I am. The piece seems to make them look puzzled, sometimes I explain sometimes not. Anyway I am very grateful that you wrote those words. Rebecca Wentworth
