Dear Mr. Cornwell, I rarely buy books because my mother will read a book or two a day and she generously passes several on to me. She gave me Gallows Thief and I was hooked! I had to read more of your writing. Now I buy books, but they are only written by you. When I read one of your books, I feel as if I am there. When reading the Starbuck books I could taste the gun powder! Sharpe is my favorite!!!!! If I was a man I would want to go into battle with him! I can’t wait til Netflix sends me The Sharpe DVDs. My husband has a list of your books that I have read so if he decides to pick one up for me he knows I have not read it. I pass them on only to others I know will truly enjoy them so I can get them hooked too! I have just picked up the Pale Horseman and will begin as soon as I finish the Archer’s Tale. I will not be content until I have read every thing you have written. There have only been two other books that I have loved as much as yours, Where the Red Fern Grows (when I was 10 yrs old) and Lonesome Dove (in my 20’s). I have never found an author that I would actively follow. Thank you for writing!!!!! Valerie
