Mr. Cornwell, You are the first author I have ever written with compliments having just finished your latest, “The Burning Land”. I have enjoyed every one of your novels. Well done and thank you. They sound so accurate that my understanding of the Anglo Saxon times is based primarily on your stories. Since you live on the Mass shore, perhaps you might suggest a similar style novel set in early to mid 17th century Cape Cod? My ancestor, Anne Vinal, and 5 sons arrived in Scituate, MA in 1636. Nathaniel Philbrick’s history of “Mayflower” opened up to me the rich history and excitement of those times. A good rousing novel of those times would help me understand the pain and good fortune that they might have experienced. Thank you and here’s looking forward to your next story. RSV
