Hi. I happened to stumble over The pale Horseman in a kiosk at an Airport. I loved it, and was very happy to discover that it was part of a series, and have read the rest of the series, including Sword Song. (Which is one of the best book titles I have ever seen) The obvious question is: When will the next book of the series come? I have also noticed that your characters does not use bow and arrows much.(I only remember one character, the mentally challenged Welshman in the marshes) Why not? I am pretty sure that the “Vikings” used the bow and arrow actively, but not in the same way and scale as in the 14th century. Hmmm. I just went to my small library to look up some historical fact to back this up with in Robert Hardy’s “Longbow a social and military history”, and then I noticed that a Bernard Cornwell has written the Foreword. Are you and this Bernard Cornwell the same person? In that case you might know more about this subject than me… (As you might have figured out, I am a hobby “Longbowman” ,in lack of a better word for it.) Well, anyway. Could you please put in some more Archers in the next book? Maybe one of the main characters? You may call him Gaute or Gauti if you want. (wink wink) Its an old Norse name. (My father picked it out of Snorre’s Kings Sagas) Best wishes from one of your Norwegian fans. Gaute Sylta Lindstad
