I’m just writing a quick missive to let you know how much I’m enjoying your wonderful Warlord Chronicles. I’ve read several of your books over the years. I read several of the Sharpe Books when I was younger (41 now) but, as most readers do, jump around different authors so didn’t pick up on the Chronicles when they were first released. I bought Azincourt when that was released and really enjoyed it and recently picked up the Warlord Chronicles. Well I’m truly hooked. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the style when I realised we were following a narrative by a character in the story but was soon addicted. I’ve just finished Enemy of God am a few pages into Excalibur. I love the way the legend is told in a historical style context that is utterly believable and makes me feel that it actually happened this way :) I’ve already bought The Last Kingdom and Pale Horseman so I can move seamlessly forward in time 300 years. The quick missive was as likely as Lancelot keeping faith. Thanks for the great work. I haven’t enjoyed reading a series of books so much for a long time (Probably since Sharon Penman’s Welsh series). Kindest Regards Gavin “Gawain” Woods
