I just want to start by saying that I am enthralled with The Last Kingdom. I have watched all the seasons on netflix and just recently I read The Pale Horseman in 4 days, which is the quickest I ever read a book!
I am a history lover as is my mother and I love the fact that you use old English town names like Cornwallum. It really connects me to the characters.
I thought you may be interest you to know that my surname is Cridland which as you can tell is strikingly similar to Cridiantan. I told my mum about this and she informed me that my great uncle Norman researched our family tree and found out that there is a grave site in Devon full of Cridlands.
I have yet to go there but my Mum and I both found it amazing that essentially our family name was in your story. It has added an extra connection to the characters as well as unravelling our own family history.
I love your writing and will absolutely finish the series. I moved to Ireland 3 years ago with my fiancé but your story has made me feel a connection with England and it’s history again. So I just wanted to say thank you and let you know that I cannot wait to get my hands on the third book in the series.
