AGINCOURT

This is an enthralling account of Henry V's Campign in 1415. The English army he took to France was small, but of extraordinarily high quality, and it began by besieging Harfleur. From there it all starts to go wrong, until the remnants of the army are trapped by a much larger French force in a wet field in Picardy. Then comes what remains one of the most startling battles ever fought. This is my book of the year - a terrific read.
