The Russian general Suvrov was, with the possible exceptions of both Napoleon and Wellington, argubly the greatest general of the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars. Yet he is all but forgotten. Duffy's excellent work helps bring to life one of the great captains of that age. Any one interested in the Napoleonic wars or military history in general should read this.
