If you liked The Last Kingdom then I would sincerely recommend this trilogy. Populated with some of the same historical figures, these novels provide a story that grips you by the seat of the pants and throws you into the action. As with many of Mr Cornwells stories, I have found the descriptive narrative a compelling read even the second time around.
